Ok – being a Google fan I enjoy seeing everything new about the Google products. I like this all Google Labs concept. Unlike Yahoo, Google tries to bring everything that’s new and powerful to its users [my personal opinion, of course]…

Ok – let’s see what’s new this week:

1. GMail browser title bar tweaks

Turn on the title bar tweak from the Labs tab under settings and you will have something like this:

2. Multi select and progress for uploads

This is another great stuff introduced by Google in GMail, the ability to select multiple files for upload & see the upload progress for each one:

3. Import or Export your GMail Filters

If you are a GMail user I’m almost sure you are using the filters. It’s a great way to organize your email [this goes here and this goes there]. Well – from now on you can easily import/export your created filters.

Here are some other ideas for things you can do by importing and/or exporting your filters:

• Download all your filters. If you’re using POP or IMAP to get backup copies of your mail messages, now you can include your filters too.
• Share filters with other people. If you have a set of filters that is especially good at organizing particular kinds of mail that others also receive, you can now make those filters available to them.
• Temporarily “disable” a set of filters by exporting them and then deleting them. To “reenable” them, just re-import them from the file you exported.
• If you’re comfortable editing XML, you can make new filters that are similar to existing filters. Export the old ones, edit the resulting XML file, and import it back again. For more information about modifying these XML files, see Gmail Labs user group for Filter import/export.

4. Google Calendar goes Offline

2 days ago Google announced: “In addition to offline access to Gmail while you’re traveling or without a strong internet connection, you can now see your Google Calendar events when you’re disconnected. Offline Calendar lets you view your existing schedule and events, but not edit them, so you don’t have to print out calendars the night before a trip. This feature has been available to businesses and schools using Google Apps for about a month; we’re now turning it on for everyone.”.

So – that’s more than excellent ;)

5. Google Analytics for Flash [+ tutorial]

2 weeks ago [or something like this] Google launched the tracking of Flash applications from Google Analytics. A week ago, Matthew McNeely from InsideRIA has created a great step by step tutorial on how to integrate the Google Analytics tracking in your Flash – here is the link

After launching the themes, GMail now allows its users to make their own custom theme with their favorite colors.

To access this, go to your account Settings and then choose the Themes tab and ther eyou will see a link “Choose your own colors” – click on it and then start making your own personal GMail theme

Details:

We’re making offline Gmail available to everyone who uses Gmail in US or UK English over the next couple of days, so if you don’t see it under the Labs tab yet, it should be there soon. Once you see it, just follow these steps to get started:

1. Click Settings and click the Labs tab.
2. Select Enable next to Offline Gmail.
3. Click Save Changes.
4. After your browser reloads, you’ll see a new "Offline^0.1" link in the upper righthand corner of your account, next to your username. Click this link to start the offline set up process and download Gears if you don’t already have it.

Official GMail Blog announced today a new feature from GMail Labs: Send & Archive.

Why is this feature a cool one? Because in your inbox you may often receive emails that once responded are no longer needed. So you want to archive them, right?

Well GMail Team thought at this thing and made an GMail Labs experiment out of it :)

To activate it, as always, turn on "Send & Archive" from the Labs tab under Settings.

Until now Picasa was only available for Windows users… Well, Mac users now have a native version of Picasa that can be downloaded from picasa.google.com/mac/.

Many of us take pictures so that we can show them to the people we care about. If you are a Google Maps fan, then you probably know about the reviews made there, right?

For example let’s search for Paris Indian Restaurant. The result will look like this:

If we click on the A point from the map we’ll see the following popup:

As you can see for this location there are 19 reviews. Click on the reviews and you will see them:
