send-archiveOfficial GMail Blog announced today a new feature from GMail Labs: Send & Archive.

Why is this feature a cool one? Because in your inbox you may often receive emails that once responded are no longer needed. So you want to archive them, right?

Well GMail Team thought at this thing and made an GMail Labs experiment out of it :)

To activate it, as always, turn on "Send & Archive" from the Labs tab under Settings.

Anti IE A WordPress plugin can help your IE6 users to get rid of this… “bad habit” [yes, I am an IE6 hater :D].

Shockingly Big IE6 Warning is the perfect solution to inform your users that their version of IE it’s bad, it’s dangerous, and so on…

The plugin shows to IE6 a warning, and can be configured to display a small one or a big one:

The plugin uses jQuery, but if your theme doesn’t have it, don’t worry – the plugin comes with its own copy ;)

Twiiter Applications Database

I am a twitter user & fan. And I love to have twitter applications that allows me to easily update my twitter profile without entering on the website.

As you may already know, there are different types of twitter applications: desktop applications, Firefox extensions, online applications, mobile applications, …

Twitdom is the [first?!?] Twitter Applications Database that contains a pretty big list of twitter applications that will made your twitter-user life easier.

The website has categories for each application type. So we have: twitter browser plugins, twitter desktop applications, twitter mashups, twitter mobile tools, twitter web tools.

PS: If you have developed a Twitter Application you can submit it on their site ;)

OBS: For me, right now the site is not working, it gives the following error when trying to access anything: "No input file specified." – I’m sure this is only a temporary issue :D

Until now Picasa was only available for Windows users… Well, Mac users now have a native version of Picasa that can be downloaded from picasa.google.com/mac/.

picasa_mac

Here is a quote from the press release:

Picasa for Mac makes it easy to manage large photo collections and helps users make professional-looking edits without any technical knowledge, including:

  • A drag-and-drop photo collage tool that gives users control over layout and content
  • A retouching brush to wipe out scratches and blemishes – and repair old photos
  • A slideshow movie maker that uploads users photo montage videos to YouTube with a click
  • Smart auto-cropping that guides users on how to zoom in on their subject
  • And, auto red-eye removal.

Many of us take pictures so that we can show them to the people we care about. Picasa for Mac integrates seamlessly with Picasa Web Albums, Google’s free photo-sharing site, which offers features like name tags – the ability for users to automatically organize and share their photos based on the faces in each picture.

And the presentation video:
